Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman’s visit to Malé as a special guest for the Maldives’ 61st Independence Day celebrations underscores the growing strategic importance of the bilateral relationship in the evolving Indian Ocean region.
During his courtesy call on Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the two leaders discussed ways to deepen cooperation across a range of sectors while reaffirming the enduring friendship between their countries. The discussions reflected a shared vision of transforming traditional diplomatic ties into a broader partnership focused on sustainable development and regional collaboration.
